On Friday, May 3, about three dozen souls – all volunteers of Auggie’s Café – gathered in our hall for a sumptuous dinner. There were speeches and many thanks for those in attendance – and those who couldn’t make it to the event – who give countless hours of their time to our church’s primary form of local outreach. Entertainment was provided by Ian Bowden, who led the group in a few sing-alongs, and Alan Ellis, who demonstrated his square dance calling abilities. At one point, an ad hoc square dance broke out and eight people relived their square dancing lessons in elementary school, conducted many decades before!
Photos were taken at the event (thank you Paul Frail!) and can be viewed here.
