A Christmas Carol – with CBC radio personalities and lots of music!

On the evening of Saturday, December 15, our church will host a presentation of A Christmas Carol at 7:30pm. The event will be a dramatic reading of this classic tale from the pen of Charles Dickens, interspersed with musical performances between. A half dozen CBC Edmonton personalities are donating their time (and voices) to this stellar event!

Voicing the five staves of the reading of A Christmas Carol will be:

  • Mark Connolly
  • Adrienne Pan
  • Rod Kurtz
  • Kim Trynacity
  • Janice Johnston

Lydia Neufeld will be acting as Master of Ceremonies for the evening. CBC Radio One will be recording the event for broadcast the afternoon of December 24.

Musical performances will come from the St. Augustine’s Music Team, Tag Along (barbershop), Tim Chesterton (folk), Lorne Manweiler (organ), and Meridian Line (folk).

Proceeds from the event will go to the Christmas Hampers Drive of the Spruce Grove Kinettes and Stony Plain Kinsmen.

Festive desserts (mincemeat pies and shortbread) and refreshments (mulled wine and cider) will be available at the intermission on a pay-what-you-can basis.

Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased from Winnie Kennair  780.960.1114 or online at YEG Live.

A letter-sized full-colour poster is available for download, distribution, and printing.
