Adventure Centre Pancake Breakfast and Registration! On Sunday, September 5th, we'll be having our Adventure Centre yearly kick off with a delicious pancake breakfast! Please come to the church hall at 9am to have some delicious pancakes, greet new and old friends, and hear about the fun things we'll be doing this year in Adventure Centre! AC is our Sunday School program for kids ages 4-11. We meet in the church hall on Sunday mornings during the first 45 minutes of the morning service, and then join the rest of the community for the bread and wine of communion. Sunday, September 26 will be an exciting day at St. Augustine's Parkland. Like many parishes in our diocese, we'll be participating in the worldwide "Back to Church" Sunday. B to C is based on the simple, uncomplicated belief that the best way we can share what it means to love God and be loved by him is to invite a friend, a loved one, a colleague, etc to church with us. Let's do it, and see what happens! We've got something to be excited about -- let's share it! There will be plenty of information available about B to C Sunday available at the church in the coming weeks. You can also visit our diocesan website (go to our Weblinks menu and be linked there directly). A soup lunch and information session will be held following the Sunday service on September 12. |

Our summer parish mini retreat will be held on September 19th at the Canaan Prayer Gardens. We're considering the fruits of the Spirit, and this year we're exploring joy. We'll talk about what the Biblical understanding of joy is, and reflect on how it is that we can be present to joy in our own lives. Please sign up at the church if you'd like to come! The retreat is open to everyone. There will be drinks, coffee, tea, muffins and fruit available, but please prepare a bag lunch to bring. We'll carpool from the church at 9am, arrive at the Gardens at about 10am, and wrap up the day at 2:00. |

Please sign up to help at Adenture Centre! Adventure Centre is our children's program that runs during our Sunday morning worship. Kids aged 4-11 gather in the hall to sing songs, hear a Bible story, and have fun completing an activity or playing a game. AC is on hiatus for the summer, but we'll kick off again in September with a yummy pancake breakfast! Please consider helping out with this vital part of our life together, as we help our kids know the value of faith and a relationship with God. |
